This charming late Victorian (circa 1890's) footed ladies glove box has beautiful repousse detailing around the perimeter of the box. A floral knob handle resembling a dogwood graces the top as well as floral brite cut engraving.
The box interior has teal pillowed satin lining which is in good condition. For today's modern woman this would work well for a ladies jewelry box.
Hallmarks on the bottom are clearly visible and state "James W. Tuft, Quadruple Plate, Boston, Warranted". In separate quotes "900" and "11".
Measures 11 1/4" by 3 1/2" to the top of the box (does not include height of flower). Weight is 2 1/2 pounds.
The box is in good condition with some scrapes along front edge of lid.
