Belleek is a famous type of bisque porcelain from Ireland. After the Great Potato Famine of 1845, there grew a need for a new industry. Belleek Pottery Works Company Ltd. opened in 1857. By 1863, beautiful parian china was produced in Belleek and sold widely to clients in England, Canada, Australia, the United States, and at home.
Belleek always has a creamy high gloss glaze to it. This piece is more of a pale pink and has the brown mark, which means it is the 13th mark from 2008-2010. Sadly not an antique, but we have other pieces of Belleek that are, and would marry well with this piece.
Excellent condition and measures 7 1/2 in. tall. Weighs 6 oz.
